i am having trouble finding a nice piece to sue for the sail/gusset/whatever you call it. I have no trouble finding the cable. the turnbuckles I found were rather large as well, and i know HD has smaller ones.

Makes a lot of sense. Pretty much how I've been doing it, but only need 15' instead of 20' (looks that way from the video) because I'm using a full frame camera (it appears you are using a crop body). I work with carbonpipes - length about 18 feet and I had to much bounce. If I reduce the length to 12 feet it works, but I wanted a longer boom. Now I try a combination from my first alupipes and some carbonpipes with cable - it reduce the weight and works. But I´m not happy to buy expensive carbonpipes and don`t find a successful solution to use it until now. Here are some shots I made with the carbonrig.
sick shot, love the color of the A4 and how the lights reflect StE823 wrote in post #10262201 i did a 5 sec exposure for that shot, those are my backup cups lol

I'm running 1.5" sched 40 (1.9"OD) and i get loads of bounce with a 10' pole. Around 1 3/4 inches.. Honestly all boom bounces, even mine bounce too.. It is more trial and error till u find a way to get a sharp image than building a rig with no bounce because that is pretty much impossible for a boom rig
