Kam... what poles are you using? And the avenger/manfrotto F1000?? Cant seen to find anywhere that sells them in the UK!

Page 220.. go down to my post, that will tell you all about my pole. I'm a right idiot though, had I done a relatively simple calculation I would have worked out that the 2" OD tubing, although having a thinner wall thickness, is more rigid than the thick walled 1.5" OD stuff I bought. Which is why next time I'll buy 2" OD.

I bought them from the states and had someone bring them over for me. In fact, I've done that with pretty much all the photography equipment I have :) Just don't tell customs and excise please :p

Sounds good to me if I don't have one built before then! The cars will be show/track cars/classic cars. (nothing like max power or fast car magazine either!)

Cool! Rigging always needs an extra hand here or there, and having someone who knows what they're doing is a plus! So let me know if you have any shoots you need help with, and vice versa!
Where abouts in London are you? Drop me an email via my website.. no point discussing this here

richwig83, make sure its aerospace grade 6061 T6 though... if it looks too good (or cheap to be true), it IS too good to be true!

steel? How much does that weigh???? Crazy stuff... My rig is 5 metres long so if I'd make it out of your material it would weigh in at something like 15 kilograms... I'll stick to ali... the moment that steel can generate with a camera hung at one end would be enough to bend thin panels IMHO. I even see panels want to start to flex with my 7kg rig!

So yeah, how much does it weigh in? And what's your total length?

4x42" so 4meters roughly.... weights about 4kg but most of that is inter connecter weight... they need to go on a diet!

can you please do some before and after shots without any cloning just to see what cs5 fill can do to the rig? thanks

I did this with the TVR photo on the previous page. After I finish my rig shots, I back them up on my external HD which is at home (I'm at a friends house) so that's why I chose to use this photo.

Here is the area that I outlined in photoshop:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png'

and after a content aware deletion:
IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png'

Again, it's not perfect, but it makes things go a lot quicker. If you look at the "after" photo, you will see there is a now a forest growing inside the TVR :)

Its not half bad!! I must admit! Its recreated the sky really well. The technical areas around the car I'm not too surprised by... the Tamora is a rare car. Most humans wouldn't be able to draw one blindfolded let alone CS5! ;)

QUOTED IMAGE

I think you need a longer shutter speed in the first one. you did not get a lot of motion blur.
