Not a bad shot, I'm a fan of Josh Mackey's work. Seems a little weird at the far left. As if the tree's are cut off for some reason

I hope I can get some quick help. I am supposed to do a rolling shoot today, and it's for an SUV with a skiboat behind it. I don't have any "L" glass, but do have a Sigma 10-20, or I can use my 18-55 kit lens.

Also, any guidance on settings? Much appreciated...

I would use the 10-20.

low iso, and experiment with shutter speeds. the longer the better

Thank you. Any suggestions on the f-stop?

You can stop down a bunch to slow down the shutter but too much and the image will get soft. Most of us are using ND filters to gain the extra stops.

what chris jones said.

you *could* go to f22, but your pictures might be a tad soft. if this doesn't bother you, by all means do it.

if you can get away with f11 or larger, do it.

Looking to build my first rig to use for commercial use. The following rig is little more expensive with the hopes it will be nice and sturdy:

2 x Avenger F1000 Pump Cups with Baby Swivel Pin (B&H #AVF1000)
3 x Manfrotto 2909 Super Clamps with 2907 Reversible short stud (both 3/8" and 1/4"-20) (B&H #MA2909)
1 x Manfrotto 492 Micro Ball Head (B&H #MA492)
1 x Manfrotto 047-3 Alu-Core (12-feet) (B&H #MA0473)

Total $247.70

Anyone have experience using Manfrotto Alu-Core? We use it to support studio backdrops and it's very strong, lightweight and breaks down into 2 x 6 foot sections. I'm hoping it will work well as a pole.

How do you attach the Super Clamps to the Pump Cups? Am I missing something?

Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated? :)

Rolling shoot is different than a rig shot.

12 feet is probably gonna be too short.

Thanks! Manfrotto makes the Alu-Core in 12 and 9 foot lengths and you can attach the 12 and 9 foot pieces together. I'll just add the 9 foot version to the list.
