Kverna, it looks like you have the cup near the center of the hood. I have seen many of the good rig-shooters mount the cup much more close to the edge of the hood because it is stiffer. I am sure VE would have come good working advice for the thread regarding this.

Agreed, his cup placement is really dangerous, and I would never advise anyone to place them anywhere except very near a seam. On some composite materials, like carbon fiber, you can get away with it more, but you will still crack it if not careful (depending on the grade of the CF).

Matt: Just wax the areas of the car where you plan to put the cups, just before you go out on the shoot, and when you pul the cup off, use the wax-removal towel to wipe off the cup residue. Should take 2 seconds, and leave nothing behind. Sometimes there is a minute visible ring in the paint, but after a bit of time it goes away. At your own risk, of course, just giving you my experience.

Thanks for the tip! May try it tomorrow, I have a shoot, at a very good deatilers house, so if there is any issues, he can fix it.

My cups leave a weird white residue on the windows when I pull them off, it comes off with cleaner bit, it scares me to put my cups on paint. :/

don't be afraid. What kind of cups do you use? Normaly its enough to clean the surface with a glass cleaner, before you use them.

ahmad0420,
That is a good shot, interesting to see the floor before the shot then the final result.

Couldn't find a usable spot near the edge bacause of the hoods profile. The cup wouldn't stick, just came loose.

Ronaldo, that location is serving you well, and so are all these slammed cars with big cabins! Take note guys, Ronaldo is playing to several strengths, hence the fantastic results. Well done bro!

Avenger 1000s.

Damn, I need a damn ND filter, outdoor shots are so much nicer than my indoor ones. :(
