Doesnt look quite as nice, the lights dont come on till just after dusk...
the background in the light isnt that appealing,...even blurred...very limited here in regional Aussie..

Dusk in Michigan. They don't even have their headlights on yet.
And look at the highlights in the first one here.

Hey Frank,,bout time you posted a couple iof Rig shots of yours....show us how its done....
Al

I'd rather do cars at 1/20 sec. More shots per hour & I don't have to push it! ; D

was hanging out with a buddy the other day. We just made acquaintances a week ago. He owns a really nice 335i that's been modified a bit. Went to my spot to shoot the **** and take a few pictures for fun.

Yup, too much magenta. Still cool shots.

LovedCars: Good example of having distortion work for you. Good shot.

I don't do a lot of rig shots, so I've always wondered about something. Take a look at the yellow tree in the center of Damirk's second shot. It doesn't look blurred, it looks like there were a bunch of "mini-exposures" that are blurred together. I know he hasn't done anything wrong, because I see this on at least three-quarters of all rig shots that aren't taken straight-on to movement. What causes that phenomena?

I have a ton of gear, but my gear is just a hammer.

Not sure what causes it, probably something to do with how static sensors capture light as compared to video sensors. It's natural, but can be manipulated easy via the use of different shutter speeds.
