Looks good dude I like the first one! Crazy story about selling your rig though...

Did you get laid off for shipping it thru your company?? Sounds like a headache..

Post some BTS setup!! :)

I got laid off the Day afterwards but not for that reason. I worked for a startup company that was sinking itself into the ground. Shipping for NJ to Australia was not cheap and they held on to it forever. I basically thought it was stuck in customs and after court a few times it was returned. Either way its resolved at this point but again not the way i like to do things.

I will be doing some more shoots here this weekend and will sit down and try and focus on small sections of my editing like Andrew has suggested in some of his other post.
Just read another thread looking at advise he hands out and read my convo in the past.
So will focus on what i was taught and try and gain more advise from here.

Today I rigged an awesome little Mini Cooper S. Such a fun little car and so easy to move for the rig shots!

Nice photos but it helps to have someone inside the car driving.

Does anybody have any tips on how to improve the sideways stability of the rig? I have a lot of side to side movement in my rig unfortunately even with using an 48mm diameter pipe with 4mm thickness.

Side to side? How do you even get that movement? You're turning the vehicle instead of going straight? Maybe get a different boom?

No no, not at all, I was just asking. Normally it's the up and down movement that people want to stop, and you can do that several ways. This is a DIY thread, I don't push my product here, but I do offer assistance, and parts/kits for those that need them.

Very clean work man!

thanks Andrew any tips with capturing the driver? Now I am using higher angles, getting sharper shots and using a CPL I can capture the driver.

So for the rig shot i use about a 30 second exposure. To capture the driver would you have him sit for 30 seconds stationary to get a photo of him or would you go to the hassle on removing the ND400, attaching the CPL alone and taking the shot?

Also even with the CPL i don't seem to get them as clear as i would like :)
