Pretty cool shot, but it appears to have some really bad fake headlight glow.

Cold and over cast so not much light pop.

Crackled and craxed paint on the Jag didn't want to hold the cups either!

It needs a crop IMO, but damn I love that shot! Great car, great tones, and the motion of the wheels + jitter of the background is really cool. Well done sir.

Thanks Andrew, I would be interested to see your crop suggestion.

I would just take a little off of the top, and bottom to make the shot seem wider, like the car had more room to move. I know the car is large in the frame, so a crop doesn't make it clearly better, I just like this one with the widescreen type of crop.

Fantastic shot regardless, just wonderful sense of motion. It's really kind of next-level IMO, for those that look close.

Dont mind that crop, I tend to keep mine on the same aspect ratio but the wide screen crop is cool

It is really odd though that you like the shot that much, I nearly didn't post it as im not over keen on it. It was too much hard work to grind a finished shot out of it. I think the front cup wasn't that secure on the flaking paint and I used a different bracket for the camera that wasn't working that well. Both effected the shots. And teh dul weather didn't help

I manage to twist the rear axle in the processing and had to track back to fix it and had to comp a lot in to make it work ;-)a perhaps it was worth it and I've just spent too much time looking at it!

Owner likes it and I suspect thats all that matters in the end.

Yeah, I think it's fantastic, the motion of the wheels, I really think you're on to something here. But again, it's the car, the colors, the jittery feel of the background, it works!

Hi everyone,

I understand this is a very long thread and there's a 99% chance that this has already been answered. I've already got a 12 foot aluminum boom made in sections. I just need the rest of the stuff to get started. What's the equipment list to be able to shoot from above so I order all of this once?

3 Woods 6" cups (+other things) or Avenger with the Baby Swivels?
3 Manfrotto superclamps
1 magic arm

Am I right to assume it's just extended threaded pins?

First, with only 12-ft of boom, you're going to need a pretty wide angle lens, or get creative with how you mount the boom.

Second, you can use the Manfrotto/Avenger F1100, but realize that they only support 4.41 lbs, which isn't much. The Woods cups are much better, but will cost you more. PM me if you want to go that route, I have the best price.

3 Super-clamps, yes

1 Magic arm, yes, but get the MA143A, it has the camera platform on it

I actually have a Sigma 10-20 that I believe would be wide enough that should suffice.

I actually tried looking for your site on FB but couldn't find an actual online store for some reason. Does your Woods Pwr Grip cups come with everything to hook onto a super clamp?

I don't have an online store, every sale is handled through PM on FB.

No woods cup comes with everything you need, you'll need to get an adapter, and a swivel. PM me for details.
