I'm planning to buy a ring flash from AB but then, I recall a rebranded AB ringflash and they sell it for $100 cheaper than the ABs.
Can someone give me the name of the other brand? Thanks.

Cheaper if you already have the power pack.

From the site: requires a Z1250 or Z2500 Power Pack for use

just a reminder... the white lightning/zeus ringflash requires a seperate power pack to use(at least an additional $599). I have an Alien Bees ringflash and love it.

I just read that from their website.
I guess it will end up more expensive than the AB.

Any other good alternative from the AB ringflash around $300?

ive seen a couple of contraptions that are around the same price... but nothing as "plug and play" as the ABR800... and none that seems worthwhile. the AB ringflash is worth the money... and AB's customer service alone is worth purchasing from them.

The ABR800 is the cheap alternative-to other studio ringflashes that are $2000+

A ring flash for $300.00 is an almost unheard of price point.

At a minimum they typicall sell for at least 4 times that.

Enjoy! Lon

Some look easier than others. one that I saw was fabricated form a trash can lid that looked like it worked amazing! I have the Alien Bee's ring flash and i love it too. worth every cent I paid.
