According to the owner this replica weighs 2400 pounds, and has 550 HP. ;)

glad it has meat on the tires and not those 17" low profile type tires.

I have heard some of the replicas (kits) handle better than the original

This is true. The originals had pretty thin wall frame rails and the torque of the big motor would flex the cars. Most of the current kit cars use much stronger frames, newer brake and suspension components and more reliable electrical systems.

One of my all time fav autos.
Some of the modern kit cars are very well built for sure. FFR cars with a 03/04 Cobra drivetrain has got to be an absolute monster.

That's what the owner said too with an evil twinkle in his eye. Apparently this car was meant to be "driven" the way it should be. ;)
