The netting on 4 & 5 is a bit distracting, but there was no way around that as a safety precaution.

I think I got that same shot on #4! I really need to get to looking through those. Where you there Saturday or Sunday? We went out Sunday morning.


Rebel XTi, 18-55mm kit, Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM, Tamron 70-300/f4-5.6, Canon 55-250/f4-5.6 IS

we went saturday afternoon. i should have looked at the events timeline a little closer, cause i'm pretty sure i probably missed some good action.

i had fun, my husband not so much... so we cut the outing fairly short.

Would they allow you to get closer to the net? If you can get right up next to the net and put your lens basically right against it, the net will all but disappear from your shots, especially if you can shoot at f/2.8 - f/4.0.

As an example, this was shot through virtually the same net I see in your shot with the lens about 1 foot from the net just in case a foul ball came back at me.

Looking again, I am not sure the net would stop that big ass hammer if it got out of control anyway. :-)
