Hey, guys, I just found this forum, but i'v been into photography for quite a while. I took this picture one day when a friend came to me and told that a hawk caught a squirrel outside our apartment. It ended up in the trees where I got some good photos. Took these with my 28-105 f3.5-4.5 lens. C&C welcome.

Nice shots of nature at it's worst (for the poor squirrel anyway), you might get more feedback if you post this in the Bird forum. :)I just love hawks and owls, but I feel so bad for the poor victims. :(

Thanks. It's natures way, what can you do. Do you know anyway that I can transfer it to the Bird forum? I honestly skipped right past it when I was looking through the forums.

I think a mod will have to move it manually for you. At least you know it's there now for future posts! :D

Honestly this was a just a freak occurrence outside my apartment. I never usually see birds like this here, but I just got lucky I guess. That would be great if a mod could move it to the Birds section, and sorry for that!

Nice capture of what looks like a Red-Tailed Hawk.

Good ones. Send him over here. The squirrels are taking over the neighborhood! :D

I'll move the thread. In future, just use the "Report Post"

Nice shot and you were fortunate to be close enough to get such a good shot @ 105mm. Be careful shooting birds because all of a sudden you will be buying 500mm lenses :)

Hahaha, yeah he was just sitting right up in the tree. I don't even think those are at 105mm, maybe more like 70mm. Thanks for moving it, and I will remember that next time! There is a Canon 100-300mm f4.5-5.6 that I want to add to my collection, and unfortunatly the 70-210 I have for the old AE-1 is an FD mount, so I can't do anythign with that lens on the XTi. We'll see about that, though.
