No - it doesn't matter what settings you use on your monitor. The colour profile generated by the Spyder takes care of any colour cast your monitor has. Whatever you set it at, the Spyder compensates, so you should leave your monitor setting at its default.
Your monitor is inherently blue, so calibration always makes it seem warmer. Give it a bit of time and see if you like it or not. MY monitor is a little green, meaning everything comes out slightly pink for me. My photos look amazing, but generally use of my computer is a little strange sometimes. It can be very subjective, as your eyes are very good at adjusting, but after years of using 'blue as white' can be hard to shake.
