What are folks using as a pop-up flash diffuser for the Cannon S series (like S3 IS)?

gary fong has something that he uses for dslr pop-up flash . . . might work for s3is pop-up

S3 IS isn't considered a small compact. it's just as big as a G3/G5 . . . even has a hotshoe and creative zones. he's in the right forum

there used to be a company called Flashclip that made little diffusers for the G-series and other Canon digicams, but i think they decided to stop making them.

You are correct, I just checked on their website, and they quit making that product.

I found this little option, but I don't know how it would impact the on board flash unit, since it sticks right to the flash lens.

i use a film container. cut a hole in it with a box cutter, and it slips on.. its pretty much free. ( the clear ish kind) and it works out rather well when i dont feel like messing around with the big flash.
