What to do with broken CCD of SD100?

I have an old SD100 and I suspect the CCD sensor is broken. I think this because when I preview pictures, the LCD displays fine but when I try to take pictures, it's all black and the picture previews are also black.

Now I bought this camera back in 2003 so I THINK the warranty should be just about done now. Is there anything I can do with the camera or should I just about dump it?

Awesome! Thanks dude, I just called them and they are providing me with a shipping label to send it back to the factory. It's funny that the symptoms that I have with my camera matches exactly with that was described on the thread :)
