Hey y'all...
I was going through some stock photos and I found a few old post-WWII era style glamour-ish (not so much pin-up) photos and I was trying to think of how I could manage to recreate some. I thought the first thing would be to find a model with a wardrobe that could resemble that time period. Lucky for me, I have a friend that collects vintage-style clothing. Next thing, I have all the equipment and props that I'll need (3 studio strobes, 4 speedlights, reflector, backdrops w/ support, tons of light stands, etc).
The one thing I DONT have is a very extensive knowledge of photoshop and post-processing. I have a basic knowledge of how to get silky smooth skin through a surface blur action (to recreate the look of when 50s models wore a layer of petroleum jelly to stand up against the hot-lights). I'm slowly progressing on successfully converting images to black and white.
Does anyone have any experience with this type of shoot, or have any suggestions that would help me in this shoot (scheduled for monday)?
You can see examples of the type of shoot I want to create on this website:

Thanks for any help!
