Hey all,
Currently I own and operate a small aerial photography business using point and shoots attached to radio controlled helicopters. I am looking at expanding into other area's of photography like stock photography and hopefully weddings. I recently purchased a Canon 40D to begin my journey. I will be looking for a local photographer that hopefully will be willing to be a mentor.
Is it incredibly difficult to get into the markets I mentioned above? I know my way around the camera fairly well and will soon be enrolling into a photography program to better my skills. Some advise or direction would be much appreciated.

Thank You,
Jerry

Jerry, I would say get in the yellow pages and make some calls to wedding photographers in your area. I would tell them your ambitions and ask if they might would have a need or interest in someone wanting to learn. That would be a good way to start. You have a fine camera in the 40D and that would let someone know that you are serious. Just always keep this in mind. Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can or you can't, you are right" So believe in yourself and go for it!. Good Luck!
