I saw this family whilst I was walking around the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh the other night.
Thought it would be a good composition to have them framed by the tall hedges.

When I viewed the image in Lightroom, I decided a B&W conversion would be a good option for it.
Did some levels adjustments, burned in the clouds a little and cloned out some distractions from the hedges.

What do you think?

Camera used: Canon 350D with EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM.
ISO: 100 Focal Length: 60mm Shutter: 1/250 Aperture: F/16

There is not detail in shadows, and that works just fine for certain images. It works for the two men, I am not sure if it works for the tree.

You might want to straighten it up a little. It's about 1 degree slanted to the right.

Nice shot.

You really could crop a bit of the top out if you wanted to which would put more focus on the people.

As a silhouette shot, it really works. I like it!
