The first one is great, will watch #2 tonight, I don't expect to be dissapointed. First deals with studio lights, this one is more geared to off camera flash / strobist style.

Just finished watching it, woulda been a LOT more helpful 2 weeks ago when I was getting my Nikon speedlights set up but it reinforced a lot of what I learned and gave me some new ideas. I REALLY gotta get some light stands or some VALs

I watched the whole series last night. It was very interesting to see the way Joe works. He does a good job of explaining how to use off camera flash and overcome limits of small flash systems. If you watch the videos realize that Joe goes in the great details about using the Nikon CLS system (almost makes me want to shoot with Nikon). However, there are similarities in how you would be able to do this with Canon's system. If you shoot in manual mode, with manual flashes or some sort of combination, watching how to use CLS may be a waste of time for you. I looked at it as a learning experience on camera systems that I don't use.

Overall it was a good series to me. I also enjoyed watching the series from David Ziser as well. Check this class out as well! He shoots with canon and demonstrates how to get better results with on camera flash. I found this to be a very interesting and educational series as well. By the time you finish the classes from David and Joe you should have a much better understanding what you can do with on camera and off camera flash!

Agreed totally. As someone who has just started using CLS it's great info. Next I hope one of em puts up a series on using pocketwizards with a heterogenous assembly of flashes. If history is any guide this will go up 2 weeks after I've finally gotten my triggers and learned the basics of using them on my own =)

Mcnally class #3 is up. It uses Nikon SB 800s exclusively and is set up using the nikon creative lighting system, but there is good info on rim lighting and other effects even for those of you who dont have those.
