I was reading an article http://photonotes.org/articles/split-circle-screen/ (external link) and it says for the film rebel you can find the split-screen mirror from a different camera and transplant it to your rebel to aid in manual focusing. This isnt backwards comaptible with the Drebel, is it?

I miss my little circle :(

If there were a split-screen for a film Rebel that would fit the Digital Rebel, it would be forward compatible, not backward compatible.

I doubt it would work, different frame sizes, different mirror sizes, and most probably different screen sizes.
