Hi everyone
I'm overseas on vacation that the moment,so doing all my internerd related stuff at internet cafes.I have a small problem though -alot of monitors are the modern LCD's with the disgusting stretched wide aspect ratio. From a photography enthusiasts point of view they just ruin the experience of viewing images :(:(:(

Oddly i haven't been able to find any way of changing such monitors so they display correctly.Anyone know the answer?

If it's stretching, it's because the desktop resolution doesn't match the monitor resolution.

Assuming it's a PC, right-click anywhere on the desktop and choose "Properties". Go to "settings" and move the "screen resolution" slider until it's showing something vaguely 16:9, like 1366x768.
