I find alot of this photo on the dark side.would rather see a shot from looking up the stream as opposed to side view?

Like the second one better... the water in flo version looks great, not sure about the plants...
In the first one i think i would have framed it closer, the foreground just doesn´t do it for me...

I think the second shot is FABulous.

actually i just looked at the first shot again & i like the darkness of the background..there is a sence of mystery to the pic..like the moss too.

yeah, I find it kind of hard to brighten up colors without doing that lol

I find that cropping the right 1/5 of the first image (wood pieces) a lot more powerful. The green in that image vivid, but gets interrupted by the brown.

I do agree with the others that the second image is a lot stronger (it seems that you probably got down and dirty to get the shot, always a welcome).
