DDP QUESTION

When you edit a photo in ddp and save it will other programs recognise those changes?


Canon 6d, 7d2.
Canon 50 1.4, 28mm 2.8 is , 24-85, 24-105, 70-200 f4 is
Sigma 150-600

From my experience when you convert and save the changes are made in the jpg/tif file...

If you "save the changes to file" (into the CR2): No.
If you export as a jpg or tiff: obviously yes ;)

I have been saving changes in ddp by just using the save file and when i view the picture in zoom in says that changes made in ddp will not be saved where am i going wrong

You need to convert to either Jpeg or Tiff for the changes to be saved (changes saved in the Jpeg or Tiff format only). Thats the beauty of Raw, you can make the changes, then come back and make more changes from where you last left OR from the start. Once you make the changes and convert to Jpeg or Tiff those files (Jpeg or Tiff) will not be able to go back to the original photo settings. Thats why you save the RAW data...
