Total newbie question. Was curious what are your favorite places to shoot in NYC? Pictures? Getting my camera tomorrow and was looking for some interesting places to test it out. Thanks!

I live in downtown Manhattan (near Wall Street) and I've found some pretty cool things around here. Just looking for some specific ideas since I'm sure some of you have found some interesting stuff to shoot.

Just walk around downtown and start shooting. (Without getting your butt kicked by disgruntled subjects!:D) Plenty of opportunities. What about by the bridges? Chinatown and surrounding areas?

Go over the the Jersey side for some night shots.
Go over to the Brooklyn side for the same.

Bronx zoo is always fun to practice so is the Botanic Garden. (The one in Brooklyn has the Cherry Blossoms right now...very nice)
