Tomorrow Im doing a wedding. It’s a paid job, only met the bride a couple of days ago although the shoot was organised about 6 weeks ago by a family member I know. It’s an outside wedding on the other side of the harbour, will be at 4pm as the sun goes down backed onto the harbour. We are going out today with the bride and groom to check out the area and the light which should be an idea for tomorrow if there is no drastic change in weather conditions. Hubby is going to do backup stuff and try and get all the crowds, the cars etc while I concentrate of the wedding party. I’m taking the 70-200 L and my 85; hubs will have the 50 and a long zoom. No point in suggesting other lenses as this is all we have. I only have to do the wedding, a few family shots and a few portraits and a fake cut of the cake. No reception or pre wedding shots. I’m doing this for her aunt more than the bride (who I find so far comes across as quite demanding). I’m also doing up a quick slide show. They are getting this at a bargain price that most photographers probably would not even get out of bed for. I’m doubling the price for two weddings later this year. I am kind of using this as a test wedding as I will have to shoot fast and think ahead as the light will be going fast by the end of the wedding
OK, any tips? What should I keep in mind not to forget to photograph, all I can think of it the rings, the kiss etc right now. My brain is still kind of fried from getting over the flu.
