Im shooting at Sydney fashion week for the first time and whilst I could find plenty of great advice re shooting tips etc, I'm worried about the (scary according to some) marking of the spot process.
"This is my 6th year covering Fashion Week and the marking of the spot is always rough, dirty and a total media frenzy" - Aysha Leo from News.com.au
If anyone who has gone through this could give me a rundown of what to expect, and some tips I would be really grateful
Other random questions:
1. Since there is only one "marking of the spot" session, and designers are scheduled for different areas, I'm assuming that we need to "mark our spot" at each of the location's that we're attending?
2. I'm sure there are some people that I don't want to upset / annoy. Should I perhaps wait a bit and let more established organisations take their place first? I'm 6'4" so I also don't want to be blocking people and pissing them off either.
I'm on my own (going with a journalist friend) and plan to have a HD cam just filming away on a fairly wide angle, and then I'll have my own DSLR as well.
Anyhow that's about all I can think of atm
I'm just really nervous about this
As I said, any advice or tips is welcomed and appreciated
