This was an old digger holding up the flag for many hours. He didn't sound very healthy but showed his intestinal fortitude by standing there holding the flag for at least the 3 hours I was there. Anzac day is our Memorial day. A celebration and remembrance of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. This was taken at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne. There was apparently more than 35,000 people there and I think I was the last to arrive as I was waaaaaaaaaaaay down the back.
