Hey everyone, recently go a new laptop with visa on it. UGH it makes everything so slow including my normal workflow. Photoshop has since become slow and im wondering if you guys know how i can speed things up. I run CS2 on my old laptop which seems to run better than my new one. It seems slower even though i run AMD Tl-60's, 2gb ram, 1gb cache and what not. Is it plain old vista or what?

thanks

I hope something helps.

It is possible to speed up your performance. I had horrible performance when I got my new laptop and with a few tweaks here and there it runs great now but still nowhere near what my desktop does but it is not as powerful either.

When you have an image open click on the flyout button on the bottom left and select performance. What does your show. Perhaps you can post a screen capture of that. While you are at it what are the settings in your performance page of the preferences file. The defaults that Adobe sets are not always the best.

LOL!! Vista still has "a few" issues when it comes to some programs. See if there is a "update"? That's what I had to ddo with some of my programs I run.. Took a few days but everything got back up and running to the max!
