I'd love to see some examples of good (tasteful) photos taken during the "bride getting ready" stage, especially those of the bride putting on the dress. I've seen the shots with her hands poking out of the top of the dress, but I wonder if there are other angles / ideas.

I want shots that capture the moment but and are clearly "putting on the dress" shots but am not interested in the bride in her undergarments. I want refined, not revealed. I believe the bride and her family would prefer it this way as well.

Any ideas or examples? Thanks!

While I don't have an example, a tasteful one would be of the bridesmaids/sisters/mother helping the pull the dress up, but with your perspective being from behind so you only see her naked back. One that might work, but might be a bit risque, would be same shot, from the front, with something that would naturally cover her up (hair, veil, shadow, etc...)

One of my challenges in all of this is that I do not want to make the bride feel uncomfortable.

Neither do I want to see anything I would not see on a beach. I take that back. I want to see less than I'd see on a typical beach.

I'm pretty sure I'll be spending time out of the room or with my back turned & eyes closed.

My photographer at the wedding got a great one of my dress being tightened, I had my bridesmaid in front of me holding the dress and my mum behind tightening it (it was a corset style tie up) I liked that picture alot.

Yes, that's the sort of thing I'm looking for. I suppose things like this will be rather obvious during the shoot.

I think you will see lots of opportunities while you are there
