In my experience kerso is much better at replying to PMs on POTN than email. I only communicate with him by PM now. Also in the past he has been known to offer discounts to POTN people so PM-ing him may be a better idea in that respect, too...

Best regards,

Anton

Thanks dude. :)

I've just been notified that my order (580EX II and an angle finder C) has been despatched. It went through the "on hold" and then "awaiting processing" stages first though. They don't seem to reply to emails and the phone just gives a constantly engaged tone... I await further developments, and I'll post the results.

I suspect though, that they'll have a skeleton staff working to clear any orders that they can to get as much cash in as possible. But who knows?

Cool! That makes me much less worried about my HV30 order! :D

And yes I imagine you are right about the skeleton staff...

Best regards,

Anton

Also the One Stop Digital orders are subject to VAT and import duty on entry to the UK although they claim that they will reimburse those costs... Has anyone used them successfully for buying things to the UK?

Lots of people have used OSD and they don't just 'claim' to reimburse they do actually do that! I have spend a couple of thousand through them over the years and twice had claims reimbursed. Other orders it was not necessary.

Hi,

Thanks for the info! It is good to hear that they do as they say. I will definitely keep them on my list of places to check when looking for new kit.

Best regards,

Anton

I ordered a Canon 580EX II and a WFT-E3 on Sunday evening. Both were in stock at the time and I got the full 30% off my invoice value. The goods were delivered today and I've checked them out and everything seems pristine and in good working order. Total net cost was £618, with £40 yet to come from Canon as a cash back for the 580EX and a further £39 tracked with Quidco. It remains to be seen whether that gets paid successfully, but I don't see why it shouldn't. Best price on Camerapricebuster for these items would be £824 before any cash backs.

By the way, given the concerns, I did drop a note to my credit card company and they assured me that if the card got charged and the goods failed to show all I'd need to do is to file a dispute.

I'm now going to see what other goodies I can find, while stocks last.

I am glad you guys got your orders! After my first order was cancelled my second order is still showing "awaiting processing"... Hopefully it will not get cancelled, too!

Best regards,

Anton

I seem to remember reading somewhere on their site that they only do two attempts at delivery and then it's held for collection at the "depot" for a short while (maybe a week, I can't remember). After that it's returned to the senders.

I'll agree they suck big time, but picking the stuff up from the Business post shower might be the only real chance you've got Dave. At that price anyway.

cheers

I just got that email, too so out of my two orders both were cancelled. :(

Looking on the bright side I have saved a lot of money by not spending it! :)

Best regards,

Anton

Same here, i ordered a Macro lens, and it was canceled. Have emailed the company and tried to phone them, but nothing. Very poor in my eyes. They could have given me a reason for canceling
