Looking for a bit of C&C on the following image. Taken at the Top of the Rock with the 10-22 and about 7 images. It needs a bit of noise reduction to take out the worst at the sky, but what do you guys think?

Apr 26, 2008 07:37 | #6 Thanks for the comments all, much appreciated curiousgeorge wrote in post #5404778 ![]() I really like it, apart from a couple of things. The noise as you say, also there seems to be a bit of distortion, I would try to fix this, but you've also cut off one of the spires. I think I can see some seams as well on the left and halos around the middle tower. Is this an HDR? What is the rock, by the way? I dunno about the distortion, I kinda like the effect. Maybe I'll try some stuff and see what it looks like after correction - this is basically what came out of CS3 photomerge Photoblog

This was the very top of the building bar a small hut which has some communications equipment on it. The Empire State is quite a bit taller (it has an observatory on the 102nd floor) but in my mind you get a much better view from here. Photoblog

I was on "The Rock" myself in September, and I thought is was a much better place to shoot from than the ESB. I have some nice shots, but yours are great. Thanks for sharing. Rebel XTi/40D

Either version would be on my wall in a minute, good luck,Steve B.
