Here's the challenge. I'm looking for a place I can get to and shoot interesting street scenes and landscapes and then return back to Baltimore all in one day. Doing this around an interesting sunset (hoping for good weather) is important to me. So with a few rules in mind, where do you suggest I go?

Here are the constraints: I'll burn one of my free roundtrips on Southwest, so I've got to be able to get to the destination on SW from Baltimore. I don't have enough time on the weekends, so it has to be close enough to Baltimore to be able to get out on an early flight, have plenty of time to shoot and return that same night. I'm figuring that means I probably should limit my sites to east of the Mississippi. I'd also rule out places close enough for me to drive: NYC, Philly, DC, VA and West VA. And no Florida, since it's an area I've spent a lot of time visiting and shooting.

So with those simple rules in mind, where would you suggest I go, and why?

For me:

Savannah Georgia for the architecture and history, Pennsylvania for Amish County, Kentucky for horse farms and barns
Boston for street scenes, Outer Banks Carolinas for the beauty, Bar Harbor Maine for beauty and Acadia NP.

Seems like a lot of work though for just one day.
