I finally got my timing down, but the picture is still lacking. Is my AF off, my PP out of control, or what.

A bigger picture would be nice, but looks over processed and both faces are blocked.

The face is blocked, but really to be honest that does not matter if you sell this image to the catcher or his mom, dad and or family. I do agree that it looks a tad bit over processed.

With all sports shots, you need to see the face

I agree it doesn't always matter. I sold this shot to someone.

besides the face being blocked the ump (or whoever it is behind him) is kinda distracting

Guess the point I was making...Seems like every time you get one of those great timing shots, there is something else that makes the picture look bad.
