The whole region around this area in Texas is beautiful, and rich with historical information. Is there anything that I should do to improve?  Canon 60D

Apr 26, 2008 11:04 | #5 Sure. These three were on lake amistead. It's a huge lake, full of cliffs and various coves. Sometimes I wish I had a camera with a little more zoom, because there are big horn sheep and other various animals nestled around the lake.
  This one is at the pecos river again, just no bridge.  Canon 60D

But I agree with you that telephoto zooms are useful. That is why I'm looking to get a second body to go with my 17-40, and my current one with the 70-200. If u're not a tight budget, you may consider the 40D - as it offer a better grip and control. Still this is subjective, and you may like 450D over 40D.
