One of the greatest blessings of living in South Carolina's Lowcountry is the number and density of Insectivorous plants that grow wild.
One species is the Yellow Trumpet Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia flava. I know of about 20 individual plants but only one specimen is super healthy. I stopped by to check on this little guy on Thursday evening and found it in full bloom. It’s amazing because there is another specimen about 100 feet away that has struggled for years and never bloomed (as far as I know anyway). But, this guy seems really happy:
