I have a canon cybershot A720 IS...is it possible to get a decent moon image? & what settings would be best? :confused:

Not great. But M, f/5.6 or f/8 at ISO 80-100 and around 1/200-1/400 sec. The lens is a bit short for a really good one. Set your image to Large Superfine.

also set manual focus to infinity

Don't forget a tripod and to turn IS off when using the tripod. Having IS enabled while on a tripod will actually cause blurriness because IS is trying to compensate for movement that isn't there. I'm not 100% up to date on IS, but I believe this is still true for IS cameras..

Well at 1/200-1/400 on an A720, a tripod's not as critical as on an S5. The lens is only about half as long or less.

Here This was taken during daytime with auto settings. Same camera used. Oh yeah zoom 6 times .I think I Did not use digital.
