Hi all,

Tell me what you think - good/bad? Any improvments that can be made. The only think I have done to this picture so far is resize it to post it here.

Thanks

Justin

I think I'd like it better without the spots of sunlight drawing attention away from the bike.

Not sure how even a job you could do, but you could try using a selection & a Layer Mask. PS, see post #9; PS Elements in Post # 14
A question about sky and the Airport runway shoot link in my post.

How about some over the top processing? The original is a neat shot, but it seems to be slightly out of focus.

The actual orig picture appears to be much more crisp however the resize somehow made it appear a bit out of focus. Not sure why this would happen - or my eye is just not keen to it.
If it is actual out of focus, could there be something wrong with my camera (or the lens) when set to Auto-Focus?

Thanks -
Justin

You need to sharpen after you resize. For that shot, maybe USM 100 0.8, 1

If The actual orig picture appears to be much more crisp I wouldn't worry about the cam or lens. Maybe operator error, but 1/100 at 38mm should work OK.

Leveled the horizon, cropped to get rid of the dead space, adjusted the levels, increased black level +10, used a NIK tonal contrast filter set at 100%...

I'm not sure why you are losing sharpness when you downsize for the web. Your original picture has a ton of potential and that bike makes for a great subject.
