First paintball event

I was shooting first time paintball event this saturday. It was so much fun
I definitely have to give another go. There are some blown highlights as the
condition were not perfect. No need to mention that :oops:
All taken with 30D + 70-200 2.8 IS. 300mm 2.8 would be a dream lens for
this type of action... gotta start saving some money :D

Nice shots... I would be scared to get a 300 2.8 anywhere near a paintball field. I was always too nervous to get my gear out there, plus I would rather play than shoot it ;)

I was thinking the same thing. What a target you would be. Obviously they would not be gunning for you but the spray or rickoche of the paint on your equipment, S P L AT !!! That would suck.:sad:

Thanks for the comments. I think it does not matter what gear you have, you
will get some hits anyway :eek: It happened few times when I was in between the
teams and they started to shoot each other. Just have to hope you dont get
direct hit on the lens :)

You can put a UV filter on the lens to try to protect it.
