Ok i have been thinking of buyiny the 50. I just purchased the 28-105 2 months ago to pretty much replace my kit lens. I love the lens. I also have the 70-300. I dont know if it would be worth buying the 50. I love the zoom lens i dont know how i'd like a prime but would it be worth buying?? Or should i invest in something else

Dude. Get the 50mm f1.8

It's so cheap it's almost a no brainer.

It's so small you could keep it in your pocket to use when you need a fast lens in low light.

You have a great all purpose zoom. But it's a slow lens. I think having the fast prime will come in handy.

Do you miss the wider end of the zoom after upgrading? I assume you had the 18-55 or 17-85 kit lens?
