Have never done jewelry shots before, so I don't know whether these turned out okay or not. Any CC appreciated.

Look good, agree on the softer light though. Seem to have a few harsh spots

In the first shot my eye keeps going to the hotspot on the back of the ring, I also think a bit more DOF so the whole ring would be in focus. I like the reflection.

Thank you all for your helpful comments. I used my lightbox with three light sources -- two from the sides and one from above, shot through cracked ice light panels. (I'm rather surprised that in spite of using these cracked ice panels, the light looks rather harsh still.) Yet I was only able to get the maximum of 1/60 shutter speed with f/7.1 with the iso of 200 or 400. My primary concern, when shooting the ring, was DOF, and although I knew that f/7.1 with my macro lens isn't going to do the job the way I wanted to, I didn't want to shoot at a higher ISO or lower shutter speed or even worse sacrifice the DOF further.

I think what I'ver learned from this is to use my flash with a diffuser to add more light and therefore more DOF. I'll try that and see the difference...
