the two black objects appear to be reflecting the paper foreground, and the red edge usually means light has leaked into the film chamber or the seal on the film roll was not lightproof (or someone stuffed the developing for you)

i like your recent stuff, looks great

that sucks about the red part, and i have a feeling its when i load the film, because that picture was the first picture to be loaded, but last taken. and i bring my rolls to walgreens(i dont know anywhere else that can develop them and i havent the slightest clue how to do it myself, nor the money)

might be best to advance on 1 shot when you first load the film, and if you take a shot which turns out to be the end of the roll, load a new roll and repeat it if you can (not always possible i know) - or just keep count of what size roll you loaded and reload when you're one shot away from the end

you can get rid of the red strip in photoshop (in some photos is might not be possible as the colour is usually gone and you would have to repaint it manually)

That first photo looks like old film to me, I get streaks of red like that when I'm using stuff that was expired 10 years ago.

don't shoot film with the EOS system. Try a manual SLR, try a rangefinder.

What film were you shooting?

For color negatives I normally stick with Fuji Superia 100. I normally use Fuji velvia, velvia 100, or provia 400X when shooting slide. I stay away from black and white but when I do shoot it I normally go Neopan 400. Those are some of the modern day good quality 35mm tfilms.

That's interesting.

Why are you shooting color and not BW when shooting film?

When I had digital, I reserved color for digital and BW for film.

Just curious.

Its because I dont really like black and white. If you were to check my flicker, 99.9% of it is color.

Ok, why not just shoot all digital then?

What advantages do you see to shooting color film instead of digital?

yeah good idea about skipping the last shot

(the camera has a lcd panel, and it lets me know how many i have left)

but yeah im just gona avoid using the last slot, to avoid a missed shot

i used kodak mostly, because of availablity,

the first ones were with 400uc and i use BW400CN for the b&w ones, ive had no problems with the bw ones.

i loaded a supra(or is it super) 200 iso, to try with some flash work and some outdoor stuff. im going get it developed today, ill post some results i tried bouncing the flash at a more 90 degree angle,

i havent had too much problems with the non flash daylight shots, just theflash shots come out bad

oh and, where can i get the film you mentioned, i doubt its sold localy?
