Itz, bear in mind that I'm not trying to be mean or condescending... I've been watching your posts and it seems that you have been shooting quite a bit lately, but when you post for C&C, there are some points that I feel you should ask yourself.

1.) What do you think about the images that you have selected to post here

2.) What do you think you can do to the images to improve.

3.) Does your image meet the 5 W's and 1 H, does it tell a story?

4.) Do you start each session that you shoot with a goal to capture certain images in mind?

5.) You said you have 350 shots to go through, it should be both hard and simple to pick out your best 8 images to post here for C&C, tell the forum what your goals were for the day when you set out to shoot.

While I understand that it's a hard balance between what we consider a good image and what a parent would consider a good image. Example, the last one you post, the parent of player 21 might fell that it's an awesome image, but to me, I would have probably cropped out the ball and gone in tighter. It's a little OOF and WB is off too.

Even after the crop, I would still trash it, because I feel that image doesn't tell me anything, in terms of story or caption. but then again, selling to parents, they buy the weirdest stuff... so for that reason, I would keep it for sale but not for C&C...

someone once told me, a photographer can only improve, but only if he/she has the desire to.

there are a few senior members here that has very nice images and experience to share, try to reverse engineer their images, study it and then try to apply them, post those type of images that you have reversed engineered and tried to recreate, the forum might be able to give you more constructive comments then.

hope this helps you a little

i will take you comments into consideration.

I have several photo's but not of the same team. There were 17 teams in the tournament and there fore i have a large total of images. I do realize that the photo's are not that of the level of the sr members. I am shoot for parents and so no I will admint i dont crop and do other things that are no brainers to you guys. As i sated before i spend way to much time going through images and that is something i still work on. I have shoot a lot but as you guys all say here i have weeks, months to the years most of you guys have here. I will get better in shooting and in post processing and yes thatis my desure.. i have made about 10 sale's to parents on what i have done and most of which I hae not posted cause i dont haved that many hours in the day.. What i did not mention is we hosted the tournament and i shot and had to do a lot of other things. I am worn out right now but i will do what you suggested and try and post more when i can.

Thnx a bunch you guys

what has really messedme up and disorganized me is the fact that i have several games on 1 card.. i need a photo bank to work with cause i have a buch of pix all together.. i gotta get me a better method and cut down on pp time and get it together.. then some photos seemed to have been lost in the movement from the card to the cp.. wolf camers will try to restore them for me.. otherwise that is a championship game lost. Iam not happy about that

but that is what i am dealing with now.

i find the best way for myself to save photos and not worry about losing any is one buy ALOT of cards, i know the 2 gigs here in canada on sale are usually about 25-30$. Get a card reader and dump the photos to a pc and take another card and continue shooting, once that one filles take the other card that was just being dump and use that one. Repeat.
I usually save them on the desktop that way i can getto them easily at the event, but when i get home i archeive them.

I had to shoot a lager cheerleading event with over 80 teams. I have my cards numbered and when there was a break between sections, I put them onto a laptop, and another portable drive at the same time. I had the images go into folders which were simply labeled 1-5 , A-E, AA-EE This way I knew that Folders 1-5 were from the first section, A-E were from the second section etc... I only had the 5 cards (4GB ) with me and a few 2GB as reserve. I also made sure that I had a final list of the order the teams performed. Some team orders were switched which threw off the list in the pre printed program. there were a couple of No show teams because of the weather.

Only PP what people order. I took 2600 shots during the event and uploaded them to my web site with minimal processing. When a print was ordered, I went to the original Raw file, cropped foir thesiz ordered, processed it for the best image, converted and uploaded to be printed.
