What you said implied that there was no use other than ambient light for large apertures. You can always compensate the ambient light in ISO and/or shutter speed. But DOF and bokeh you cannot. Well technically there is Photoshop. Anyway. what I was trying to say is that you don't really need anything specifically other than a functioning camera for photography. But everything helps. Do you really need a tripod for landscape? No. Do you need really IS for hand-held lowlight? No. However, either expends your creative possibilities. And by showing Marc's photos I was just trying to show the fruits of utilising such possibilities.

I love how the skin tones look on your photos yap'in. Can you just simply break down what lens/flash you are using? Maybe a little insider tip in terms of how to achieve similar shots for a rookie like me? What's that about? Dwight McCann

I uploaded it as usual and the next thing I get is an email from one of the dancers requesting me to remove the photograph because she 'looked like a slut' ... of course I removed the pic, however I have plenty more that are ffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar worse in my collection. Personally I didn't think the photograph had any connotations of sluttyness to be honest. Opinions? (oh and C&C if you'd like to )But yeah I do wonder sometimes. The poll base is quite high... 'eyes meet thighs' sort of level ![]()

As for the girls, the one in pants doesn't belong there. As for girls in general, I think they are programmed to try to draw sexual attention to themselves (one might even say "act slutty") particularly after a few drinks. I think it is quite normal and fun for both the participants and observers ... and I have a daughter. And while there are clearly girls who seem to have a natural ability to be sexy/erotic I have found that they generally have as good character and judgment as the plain Janes, they just don't have big hangups about having fun and letting go. I tend to be a "spray and pray" shooter in these things ... if you take enough images with enough variety you will get some good stuff. As for wimmen wanting it removed, that is also part of the fairer sex's psychology ... they hardly ever like the way they look no matter how luscious. And I can't imagine that your lassies are any less classy than ours ... I really believe it is a matter of economic class which tends to dictate acceptable behavior ... a rich girl can afford to be aloof and reserved but a poor girl needs to put it all out there in the hopes of attracting suitable men.
