Not to worry Dwight....she will be trading it for a very useful salsa recipe...

Well, given that the only way to get her to buy herself new clothes is for me to trick her into going to the mall and then telling her she can't come home without spending $2000 on clothes (except for shoes ... she can buy expensive shoes!) I'm not too sure you can pry money from her fingers over a recipe!

We are finally home and I am going through photos.

Scott..... I am enjoying my MkII... it takes great photos!

My fave pictures are the ones I took of Anna, Rachel and Aaron hanging in the trees across the street...and the electric hair-dos after coming down the slide!:lol::lol:

Dwight:

I'm so pleased to see that your wife and daughter get prettier every day. They are both beautiful.

Then, there's the tragedy of you. Get well soon.

You don't "get well" from what I have, but it is always nice to know that someone cares! But I can assure you that if you don't make the third annual that there are going to be a lot of people very unhappy with you!

Here is my stitching attempt with the point and shoot I had with me all the time (took 3 frames at widest setting to basically imitate focal length of photo above).

Left to right: Karen, Brecklund's wife. Killjoy (aka Allan), and his wife (Sarah?). TomD talking to Kevin (aka Kevin), while Marna mans the grill and Madelaine (Tom's wife) helps out. The last three towards the right are SEV (Sevan, white shirt & glasses on forehead), Brecklundin (aka Robert) on his awesome Quicki-Mart shirt, and Skip "Skipper" Souza.

BTW, compromising photos coming up.

There were fun and challenging games, and it was obvious who won them all.

And some even got a chance to swap some gear. Here we have the happy owner of a 1D Mark II Camera. I got to see the 1D with an 85mm 1.2L lens mounted, and I can tell you folks, it was about the prettiest thing I have ever seen. (the proportions of lens vs body, not like the 50mm on a 1D).

Looks like all that were able to attend had a great time.

Given the amount of wine consumed, about which I am not permitted to be specific, I don't know how it could have been otherwise ... oh, oh, oh, plus the brownies ... Mo's brownies ... there were fist fights over the brownies! And the hummingbird ... I wish I had a picture of the hummingbird shooters all sitting in a row at the new table ... Marna's hummingbird was a hit. Oh, wait, that's not all! The studio lighting lesson with Marcie ... it was SRO with lots of hot, er, ah, no, um, old models!

Yes, it was a grand time. Lots of equipment envy. Lots of food: tri-tip, potato salad, homemade tortilla chips and salsa. Lots of disease and medication talk for the older group. Lord, it was just like being at home!
