Just a quick question. How after the first contact (inquiry and acceptance) do you communicate with the client? Normally, after the first contact I kind of leave them alone until about 2 to 3 weeks before the weddiing, providing all payment or at least a sizeable portion has been received. Mostly I try to keep them excited and up to date through the blog.

Thanks,
wroberts

We do.

We just contacted the bride of a wedding we are shooting in mid-May to see how everything was going, to see if there were any updates, details, etc. we should know, and to see if she could email us a shot list and a rough wedding-day itinerary.

I think it's good to get on a semi-personal level with the clients. Letting them know they aren't just a paycheck to you is something that usually impresses them - which leads to better and more referrals.

Ding ding ding! The more personal you are, the more of a connection you make, the better off you will be.

Had gear, but sold it off. Starting back in with a SL1 / kit lens. Looking to expand the collection.
