help with soft skin tones...

I'm pretty sure that this has been asked before, but I can't find a topic on it!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get those perfect skin tomes, the flawless look ftom the glossy mags.

I don't want to over do it, I want to be able to apply it sparingly where required.

At present I'm using CS on PC.
