You have some good action. Try custom white balance next time.

Good action and composition, but it looks like lots of the faces are out of focus.

shooting club VB and club soccer, hoping to get back to landscape work soon.

anyway of not getting them soo out of focus, this gym is the worse for photos, i was shooting at f/2.8 and ISO 800-1600 mostly 1600 and Shutterspeed of 320 max.

Naw, not the worst. I think I met my new low over the weekend. Was shooting at 3200, f1.8, 1/400, and still getting dark images. I punted, sat down and watched. The Event Center in Reno, far northeast corner. But enough whining, on to your question.

While normally I wouldn't shoot that slow, that doesn't seem to be your problem, as the one picture of #3's back seems very sharp, but not the blockers faces, so I suspect you are focused on the center of the image, the 3. May need to focus and recompose, then shoot, or use an off center focus point. Does your XT (I don't know it well) have the ability to display focus points (do you have more than one?), are you using them all, only center, etc. in Zoombrowser EX, so you can see where the camera thought it was focusing.

i don't let the camera choose the focus points. I have it set on the middle usually for sports. Its has 5 horizontally and 3 vertically focus points.
I don't use ZoomBrowser EX, i don't even have it installed. Photoshop cs3 and lightroom are my tools. (Noise ninja and a few other misc ones)
I hope the 40D should help me out on the focusing next year.
