This is a poll because I'm very curious about this.

Mother's Day is coming up. What would you like to receive from your family on that blessed day?

It's funny. I just bought myself my very first DSLR (an Xti that arrived today!) and the only thing my husband said was, "Can that be your Mother's Day gift?" Sure honey. :)

We always go on a picnic or something similar and that means a lot to me because my son is a teenager now and hanging out with mommy is not high on his list. I don't need them to get me anything.

I got my Xti for Mother's day last year (and my bday and anniversary). This year I want my hubby to understand that I am buying the 100mm macro no matter what. But, he could buy me the grip for my Xti. ;)

Undercooked pancakes, construction paper card, my boys telling me they love me more than all the sugar in the world! (I tell my youngest I love him more than all the sugar in the world and the oldest I love him more than all the stars in the sky)

Would love: Breakfast somewhere I don't have to clean up! lol!

I'm happy with my gear :)

All of you are great! My husband and sons have not served me breakfast in bed last year due to me shooting out of town. Then this year, the same thing. I will be enroute home from Denver. So, no breakfast in bed, but I did give that up because it was messy. My hubby helps the boys cook the breakfast, but I buy all the ingredients the day before. It's a tradition, but alas, not this year. It's sad but they always shop for the card the day before so all the good ones are usually gone, but they make something in school always. And my Hawaii son is going to call, which is a real treat, he calls only on Christmas and Mother's Day. He's on a mission. I can't wait to talk to him. My oldest son usually sends me a card and calls me. This year, I went a little nuts and just (like 30 minutes ago) ordered the 100-400 IS for myself. It's a lot of money, but what I needed. So no 200 f2 for me. I'll be happy with this.

And I think my husband's Mom is never expecting much, but I always send her something.

A wide angle lens, a nice zoom, and or a long vacation would all be nice. Since that won't happen, I will be thrilled with some pampering a nice breakfast cooked by my dh and the kids. :D

Just remember, if you want something special that morning, buy it first. I wanted bacon and eggs one time, and there was no bacon and no eggs.

I understand I'll probably get it after Mother's Day because of the release date, but I've requested the Wii fitness thingie.

A nice home made card and lots of hugs and kisses is fine by me.

I just got back from working with my 17 young women (12-18 year olds) making stuff for their Moms. I bought cheap plastic colored plates from WalMart, plain aprons, unfinished picture frames. They decorated then with fabric paint and sharpies. The plates had their Mom's names in the middle and the girls put qualities of their Mom's all around the name. They were so creative. There is one of the girls who is an artist and decorated the aprons around the names. Wow. They outdid themselves. Too bad none of those girls are mine. But their Mom's will love them.

I feel guilty wanting camera gear when all you guys want silly things from your kiddos. But, mine is just 2 so he's not really going to go all out. ;) So, camera gear's the back-up.

I should have a poll for What are you getting your Mom? But that would be too easy.
