I have just started to learn how to shoot out door with a flash light. Today is my first day. Here are some pics. I would appreciate if some one guides me to use my 550Ex in a better way. Thank you.

No post processing has been done on this, as I want to correct my lighting technique first and then go for other PP in PS.

Seeing as noone else is giving any real C+C I guess i'll have a bit of input...

Your lighting is quite good. As a fill flash in the first it works (and would look good to the untrained eye), although in the second it's starting to get a bit obvious you're using some sort of external lighting, due to the shadows in unnatural places. I'd recommend a reflector and/or diffuser with your flash to even up shadows and give a more "natural" look.

One last thing, perhaps this would fit better in the People forum...? He is glamorous, but..not..that glamorous...:D

Not exactly glamour ;)

But anyways...

First one looks good, but the second looks like it has harsh lighting.
