Here's some softball pictures from earlier today, I'm trying to frame the action better.

Looks like some critcal shots. Stopping the action. Nice job. I like the crops a little closer myself in the 2nd shot. Were you using the 70-200 here?

Thanks Cargo, yes I was taking full advantage of the 70-200 and an overcast day! Here's a couple others.

My suggestion is to get down on your knees to shoot. The players look better from a lower shooting position rather than when you are standing.

These look dark and noisy to me. (could be the uploading) What ISO were you shooting at?

Looks really noisy. Bump the ISO and open that f/2.8 up! Other than that great job on capturing the ball with the batter. Keep up the good work

I think OP is already at f2.8 for some shots. I think he forgot to change his ISO which is stuck at 800 so some shots are at f2.8 and 1/8000sec.

Thanks everyone, I know there's so many things to remember and I did neglect to keep track of the ISO and I should have set the WB as well. I remembered to do that at the baseball game yesterday afternoon, but I don't have those on my work comp - I'll post some this evening. I appreciate the feedback.
