^ Nah, it's not just you. Canon meant well, but I guess it could be a little bigger, heh. Same goes for the AF home buttons...

Only thing to miss on Ricoh SR-S is the solar panel. Went 6 years on one battery. Always charged.

Not really a "what I miss" statement, as I've never had one, but I'd love to have a DOF-preview button on my cable release. Or, at least on a more easily accessible place on the camera itself. I find it's location on my Canon cameras very awkward.

I agree, it does leave me pretty awkward and unstable when I use it, but not mention, with the darker view, since the VF is not all that bright to begin with, it is almost unusable.

I miss the focusing screen on my EOS 650. But.....digital is much easier to get to get "the shot" with. With film you didn't know until it was too late.

I miss the fact that I worked all summer while in college to buy my Nikkormat FTn with 50mm 1.4 Nikkor, and the wonderful photos I shot with it at school majoring in photography back in the old days.
Would really like the camera now to pass down to my son. Guess he'll have to settle on my two 'Blad 500CMs, seeing as how they're now relegated to "boat anchor" status, even though they're marvels of mechanical craftsmanship.

My first SLR was a Miranda Sensorex. The thing I miss the most is that you could remove the upper part of the viewfinder's mirror housing and then use the camera like a double lens reflex camera. Made low angle shots very easy. Did not have to buy a right angle viewfinder!

Too much stuff, not enough shooting time.

Canon T4i (2 lenses), Fuji X100s, Olympus OM-D EM-1 (3 lenses)

I miss the feeling that this is the best camera in the world, fully professional and awesomely built. My first cam was a zenit behind the iron curtain. :)

In addition to the price, I really miss the fact that swapping film had the same effect as getting an entirely different DSLR sensor. Costed less than $10 to swap to ultra hi-res film as compared to say having to buy a 5D or 1Ds MkII.

Editing welcome :D

I used to miss that, too, until I figured out I could change the ISO on every shot without changing film if I wanted to. Suddenly, the film type didn't seem as important anymore.

I had a Nikkormat ELW in the 70's as a back up for my Nikon F2..Don't build them like that anymore!!

The fact I didn't have a review screen on the back.

Was a hard adjustment.

Not to mention, no sensor cleaning. If it gets dusty, replace the film! Simple as that. Only thing that really needed cleaning and it didn't require a Class II clean room with gloves:p;) was the lens. Some times the focusing screen would get dirty, but, who cares? LOL
